What are ECO-blocks
Our ECO-blocks are developed as alternative for the Fired Clay Bricks (FCBs), which are the main source of air pollution, as huge amounts of coal and wood are burned during the production process.
Our ECO-blocks are not burned but compressed under high hydraulic pressure (150bar).
As such our Ecological footprint is 10 times lower and CO² emission 5 times lower than the FCB emission. That’s why we call it ECO-blocks
- Mix of sand, crushed soil and cement (stabilizer)
- Highly compressed in a hydraulic press (at 150 bar)
- Cured for at least 4 weeks
- Continuously monitored by quality tests in university labs.

- Compared to FCB: Surface is 1.7 times bigger; block is 29% wider.
- Weight: 7.5kg (Important: a 100ft² ECO-wall has exactly the same weight as a 100ft² FCB-wall, due to the extra weight of inside & outside plastering FCB wall!)
